Detailed description of Erskine Park Golf Course
Erskine Park Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in South Bend, Indiana.
The course first opened for play in 1925.
Erskine Golf Course has narrow, frequently-watered fairways and small greens. The terrain is hilly, but only one hole has a water hazard coming into play.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,098 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,530 yards and plays to a par-74 for the ladies. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 603 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 204-yard par-3 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 331 yard par-4. The finishing hole at Erskine Golf Course is a 398-yard, par 4, featuring a slight dogleg left fairway with a sand bunker in the landing area and on either side of the green.

I can't understand the 120 slope rating for this course. My Florida course is rated 122 and is much easier.

For a city own course Erskine is really not that bad. It offers some challenging fairways(especially #5 on the front 9). I play weekly on a league and I would recommend this course,to friends and family members who enjoy the game.
